In the Intermunicipal Community of the Coimbra Region (CIM-RC), there are 10 municipalities in this condition, all in the most inland area.

Only Montemor-o-Velho is in a favorable situation, with “moderate” risk, the second on the scale.

According to the IPMA, all municipalities in the districts of Bragança and Guarda and most of the municipalities of Vila Real, Castelo Branco and Viseu are at maximum risk of fire.

Dozens of municipalities in the districts of Viana do Castelo, Braga, Porto, Aveiro, Leiria, Santarém, Castelo Branco, Portalegre, Beja and Faro are still at maximum risk.

More than 50 municipalities in Viana do Castelo, Braga, Porto, Vila Real, Castelo Branco, Aveiro, Coimbra, Leiria, Lisbon, Portalegre, Beja and Faro are at very high risk.

The IPMA placed a large part of the Alentejo interior and dozens of other municipalities in the districts of Faro, Lisbon, Santarém, Leiria, Aveiro and Braga at high risk.

Around 40 municipalities are currently at moderate risk, most of them on the coast, in the districts of Porto, Aveiro, Leiria, Lisbon and Faro, as well as the entire Setúbal peninsula and two municipalities in Évora and one in Portalegre.

The fire risk determined by the IPMA has five levels, ranging from low to high, with the latter being issued when weather conditions, such as extreme heat and low humidity, significantly increase the risk of fire ignition and spread.

Mainland Portugal has been on alert since Sunday and until Thursday due to the high risk of fires.

The IPMA forecasts a drop in temperatures today, with continued hot weather, partly cloudy or clear skies, and cloudiness along the western coastal strip. Temperature drop.

Minimum temperatures will vary between 16 degrees Celsius (Viana do Castelo) and 24º (Portalegre) and maximum temperatures between 25º (Sines) and 39º (Beja).
